To equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical steps required to successfully obtain and maintain accreditation with lenders and industry associations in Australia, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the multi-layered accreditation process beyond initial licensing.

  • Prepare and submit comprehensive documentation for aggregator and lender accreditation.

  • Navigate background checks (police and credit) required for accreditation.

  • Comprehend the role of professional indemnity (PI) insurance and external dispute resolution (EDR) schemes.

  • Understand the importance and requirements of industry association membership (MFAA/FBAA).

  • Identify and fulfil ongoing compliance obligations, including CPD and annual reviews.

  • Develop strategies for effective mentor relationships (if new to industry).

  • Anticipate and address potential challenges in the accreditation journey.
